Fast-rising actress, Omodolapo Obembe has revealed how her mum prevented her from acting while she was still school.
 
The Ilesa  Osun State-born actress disclosed that while she was on the campus of the Osun State Polytechnic studying Computer Science, her mum blocked her access to attend stage play rehearsals and any activity that has to do with acting because she believed she couldn’t combine both at the same simultaneously.
 
In her words, “Acting is what I have passion for right from my childhood days and in the first year of my incursion into the world of movies; I went through hell because my mum didn’t allow me to combine studies with acting.

Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz are the latest record label CEOs in the land, so when next you see them, put some ‘respeck’ on their names.

Chocolate City Group this morning unveiled two music labels, Super Cool Cats and JagzNation as record label imprints under the popular Chocolate City Music label; becoming the first African record label to follow in the footsteps of international heavyweights such as Universal Music and Sony Music Group, to have subsidiary record label imprints.

The two new labels are owned and headed by Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz respectively.

There’s a rising surge in the number of record labels in Nigeria and it’s not stopping anytime soon.
While fans are still warming up to the idea of Lil Kesh floating his YAGI Records and the possibility of Adekunle Gold setting up Gold Records, two more labels have joined the party.

For a while, Ice Prince has been planting the name of his record company ‘Super Cool Cats’ in our consciousness and now it’s official. He’s no longer under contract with Choc City and his label has already kicked off with the release of his new song, ‘Chike‘.

Former NIMASA DG, Omatseye Sentenced To 5 Years In Jail

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced a former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Mr. Raymond Omatseye, to five years in prison for a N1.5bn contract scam.





The former DG was arraigned on a 27-count charge of alleged bid rigging and contract splitting worth over N1.5m by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
