President Jonathan's Eid-el-Maulud Message to the Muslim Ummah

President Goodluck Jonathan took his official Facebook page in the morning of January 14, 2014, Tuesday, to congratulate the Muslim Ummah and all the Nigerians on the birth of Prophet Mohammed. See the full message below [unedited]:

On this day when the Muslim Ummah marks the birth of Prophet Mohammed (SAW), I join our Muslim brothers and sisters in celebrating the messenger of Allah through whom the Holy Qur'an was revealed to mankind.

The life the prophet lived serves as an inspiration to the faithful and his piety is a model of the ideal Muslim life. On behalf of myself, my family and the Federal Government, I hereby wish all Nigerians a happy Eid-el-Maulud.
